Shan Koe Mee (Shan Koe Mee) How to Play Guide
Here we explain how to play Shan Koe Mee, one of Myanmar's most popular traditional card games.
| Card Rank | Points (Last Digit) | Description |
|---|---|---|
| 9 | 9 | Highest points — anyone can get it |
| 8 | 8 | Beats all other players |
| 0 (Buu) | 0 | When the total of the cards is 10, it is called Buu |
| Special Cards | Depends on the cards | Common pattern known to every player |
Gameplay
- Each player receives 3 cards
- The last digit of the total of the 3 cards is the score
- Example — cards 7+5+3=15 → score 5
- The Banker and players compare scores; the higher score wins
- The Banker role can be passed between players — it rotates based on round results
💡 Table Rules
- Staying quiet while holding your cards is good practice
- Handle the Banker role responsibly and with care
- Only bet what you can afford on each round
- Winning is never guaranteed — there is always a chance of losing

Bankroll Management — Money Management Guide
Managing your money well while playing casino games is what keeps the experience enjoyable over time.
Set a playing budget
Only put in an amount you are comfortable with — decide how much you can afford to lose in a day before you start. Stop immediately when you hit your budget.
Split your bankroll by session
Set a fixed amount for each session and stick to it — do not play your entire bankroll in one go.
1-5% Per-Bet Method
Bet once at a time using only 1% to 5% of your Bankroll — avoid placing one large Bet at a time.
Stop when you are winning
Once you reach your preset winning amount, cash out and stop — if you keep playing while ahead, you may end up losing.
Stop when you are losing
Continuing to play in hopes of winning back your losses can lead to even bigger losses — track your play history and make informed decisions.
